In 1970 the firm joined Ove Arup & Partners, and became their Mechanical and Electrical division. In September 1981 Spoormaker & Partners were again established independently, in order to specialize in air conditioning and electrical systems for buildings. NATIONAL OFFICES Gauteng - Head Office The Company's head office is located in Centurion, Gauteng with branch offices in Durban - Kwazulu Natal, and Cape Town - Western Cape. The Company has a track record of numerous major Projects all over South Africa and neighbouring African States. Consulting Services for building services range from corporate head quarters, hospitals, shopping centres and hotels, to offices complexes and industrial buildings. Kwazulu Natal Spoormaker & Partners' Kwazulu - Natal office was established in December 1993 to specialize in the design of air conditioning and electric building services management of Maintenance Contract and Energy Maintenance. Western Cape Spoormaker & Partners' Western Cape office was established in April 1997 to specialize in the design of air conditioning and electrical building services and the management of Maintenance and Energy Contracts. SISTER COMPANIES Shared Energy Management SEM has active offices in Gauteng and Western Cape, managing energy and water savings on commercial and industrial sites. The majority of work is done on a performance based contract where savings are shared between SEM and the client and the capital investment is provided by Shared Energy Management  Chimera Established in 2000, Chimera grew until joining forces with Spoormaker & Partners and delivering fire engineering services as an associate company. Chimera has access to the resources and expertise of the group. Plancom The Company was established in 1985 to provide large format plan printing and photocopies to professional firms and the public in the Centurion area. In 1999 the company upgraded to digital large formats printers and scanners. Consequently they now have clients from as far away as Kwazulu Natal and Free State. Services offered include back & white and colour plotting, large format copies, reductions and enlargements, scanning , poster printing, photocopies, binding and laminating.
